I came to yoga for the physical—but I stayed for the transformation.
After years of bodybuilding, I was searching for something to ease the tightness and chronic pain in my body. What began as a way to build strength and flexibility became a lifelong path of discipline, devotion, and deep inner work.
Asana is powerful. It builds resilience, sharpens focus, and teaches the mind to stay steady under pressure. These aren’t just qualities that support meditation—they are the very foundation of it. The physical practice prepares us for stillness. It lays the groundwork for inner awareness, deep states of meditation, and ultimately, samadhi.
My teachings honor the full depth of yoga—from the physical to the subtle. I blend challenging, intentional movement with breath awareness, energetic awareness, and yogic philosophy. Outside the studio, I’m immersed in daily study and practice, focusing on pranayama, meditation, and internal cultivation. I’m currently studying Nei Gong with Damo Mitchell of the Internal Arts Academy and Kriya Yoga through the Self-Realization Fellowship, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda.
My formal training is in Ashtanga, Power Yoga, and Rocket Yoga, and I’ve had the privilege of learning from teachers who deeply understand both the physical body and the eight-limbed path. Their wisdom continues to shape my own practice and teaching, and I’m forever grateful for their guidance. I also hold a certification as a Chopra Health™ Ayurveda Teacher, trained by Dr. Deepak Chopra and his faculty, and weave Ayurvedic wisdom into how I live, move, and teach.
At the heart of it all, I teach because yoga continues to change my life—and I believe it can change yours, too. Whether you’re here to build strength or seek stillness, you’ll find that the deeper you go, the more the practice becomes not just something you do—but who you are.

Daniel Boles
Hello, I’m Daniel. I love being in nature, connecting with community, all things fitness, good books, long meditations and enjoying time alone. I care deeply and passionately about the evolution of consciousness and find my purpose by serving and supporting others in their own personal growth, exploration and healing.
I grew up near Winston Salem, in a devoted christian household. I attended a Bible college near Chicago, IL and later moved to Thailand for mission work. In 2013 I moved back to NC, and left full time ministry work, then began helping at a small family business. Then in 2017 while struggling emotionally, physically, and spiritually through a dark time, I began to practice yoga consistently each day. As my focus shifted from outward to inward, life began to transform. Yoga became an incredibly powerful tool that was able to help reconnect my body, soul and mind. In 2021 I decided to deepen my practice and knowledge by completing yoga teaching training and becoming a 200 RYT. Since then I continue to practice daily, and am grateful for the opportunity to teach and guide others though practice.

Description
Yogastha Sadhana is a vinyasa practice inspired by Ashtanga Yoga and Iyengar Yoga. This practice emphasizes alignment, breath awareness, and structure—cultivating strength, flexibility, and balance with steadiness and care. Slower in pace than our Power and Rocket classes, it offers more time to land in breath, alignment, and awareness as you move.
The practice begins with pranayama (breath regulation) as the foundation, then builds gradually through a set sequence of sun salutations and standing postures before moving into seated work. Each class closes with a grounding sequence that includes backbends and inversions, and rest.
Suitable for all levels, especially for beginner students or for those who resonate with a pace that is slow and steady, yet still strong and sweaty.

Description
☯️ PRANA / QI
Prana and Qi (“chee”) are two words used to describe the body’s vital life force energy.
Through Daoist Qigong, Nei Gong, breathwork, standing meditation, and internal awareness practices, we learn to feel, cultivate, and refine that energy from the inside out.
This slow, meditative practice works beyond the muscular system into the subtler layers of the body, supporting nervous system regulation, energetic awareness, internal stability, and deep presence.
☯️ Morning sessions are more Yang—building energy, clarity, and grounded focus.
☯️ Evening sessions are more Yin—slower, quieter, and centered around meditation, restoration, and stillness.
No experience is necessary. While anyone can benefit from this practice, those with experience in yoga, martial arts, dance, or other mindful movement disciplines may already have a foundation of body awareness that helps them connect more readily to the energetic aspects of the work.

🎉 HAPPY HOUR (aka ROCKET III)
- Moderate-paced (not as fast as the name suggests!)
- Mixed Levels (with options for beginners through advanced practitioners)
A playful Friday flow that blends Rocket I + Rocket II into one creative, energizing practice designed for exploration and celebration! Traditionally practiced at the end of the week as a celebration of movement, breath, and community, this class blends strength, mobility, focus, and playfulness. Expect hip openers, forward folds, twists, backbends, and arm balances woven into a fluid and fun creative sequence.
“Mixed levels” means the class is designed so everyone can practice together:
- Beginners can stay with foundational shapes and supportive modifications
- Experienced practitioners can explore arm balances, deeper backbends, and inversions
- Everyone is encouraged to move at their own edge without pressure to “keep up”
The Rocket sequences:
🚀Bottle Rocket: the bare bones of The Rocket method—it contains all the elements for all the other Rocket routines and is a great place for beginners to start!
🚀Rocket I: emphasizes hip opening, forward folds, and lower-body development (low body focus)
🚀Rocket II: a stronger focus on arm balances, lots of backbends, and deep twists. (upper body focus)
🚀Happy Hour/Rocket III: a blend of Rocket I and II traditionally practiced on Friday nights as a celebration of movement, community, and play

Heidi Leigh
Hi, I’m Heidi Leigh and I’ve been teaching yoga for over 10 years, since moving to Winston Salem. I have three “kids” – Oliver Runyon Twist (5 yo), Pinky Alessandro Fiorucci (4 yo) and King George Phillip I (1 yo).
I have been lucky enough to have an amazing lifetime before becoming a yoga teacher. Traversing the country from FL to CA to NC, I worked in the film industry as the personal assistant for Sandra Bullock while filming A Time to Kill, in Disney HQ and for the NHL Florida Panthers. Spending so many years in office jobs gave me such an appreciation for how yoga impacts the way my body feels and the importance of building movement into the day.
My path to the mat started in 1995 when I was living in Los Angeles. My first class was with Bryan Kest and my relationship to the practice of yoga was an immediate love affair. 2005 was the year I went for my teacher training at the “Miami Beach Yoga Shala” and I had to navigate the storms on and off the mat as Katrina hit Florida. But life is full of changing weather and yoga has helped me build personal resilience.
My classes are challenging and joyful, and never the same. I plan my classes around you and your fellow party people. My goal for each class is for you to discover new opportunities for your practice – working muscles, building strong postures, creating good energy and overall finding happiness for all. I will never ask you to go past the point of fun, but always find your own rainbow connection. Song requests are welcome and everyone has music veto rights (except when Prince is on).
Disclaimer: I don’t always mean “last one”; I don’t know right from left; and I’m a middle child.

Suitable for all levels, especially for beginner students or for those who resonate with a slower, steadier pace.
