Description
Each week we have a special and unique, one time only experience. We call these our spotlight classes. This week, join Quayle as he shares a passion!
“Barefoot Ballroom! Come join “Q” (Quayle M. Chew) for some social dance. Classes will be a mix of ballroom, Latinx, and swing dances (waltz, tango, cha’cha’, salsa, east coast swing, Charleston, etc.) Half the class will be a review of the dance steps, followed by the second half of free practice to selected songs, with invitational instruction for polish. Come with a partner, or by yourself. Can ask other solos in the class, if they’d like to dance, but be okay if they say no, there’s nothing wrong with dancing by yourself! I’ve done so for years! Be willing to learn both Lead & Follow, if you really want to get the dances down. I’ve been dancing since 2005. Taught at Westminster College’s exercise facility in SLC, school years of 2006-2009 / 2011-2012. I haven’t shared this in some time, so please cut me some slack as I dust of my dancing shoes… well, feet. We’re doing this all barefoot, not only to keep toes from getting stepped upon, but also to keep the lovely yoga studio floor beautiful.”
