Description
What is breathwork? It is a practice of intentional breath patterns and guided meditation for a certain period of time. Breathwork creates a beautiful space to tune into higher self, release stored trauma and emotions, refresh and energize, and lower stress and anxiety. On top of that, there are incredible scientific/physiological benefits that can come with this practice, such as oxygenating the blood, providing a quicker return to the state of rest and digest, more alkaline blood, strengthening of the lungs, and supporting changing neurological pathways.

In this class, after discussing an intention (intention example: “expanding joy while releasing sorrow”), we’ll begin guided meditation before starting the intentional breath pattern (about 20-25 minutes of breathwork). While cues are given for the group, each person is encouraged to listen to the body, and modify the intention or breath to what is needed. This is your space to breathe into peace and transformation.

Note: please wear comfortable clothing, such as athletic-wear, bring a water-bottle, and feel free to bring a journal or drawing pad for the last few minutes of class so that you can process anything that comes up for you.
