I’ve been practising yoga for over 25 years and it’s got me through some pretty difficult personal times. I have been teaching for 3 years and it’s a joy to be able to give the gift of yoga to my community. I am a 500 hour RYT registered yoga teacher and am trained in Vinyasa flow, Yin, Pranayama, Meditation, Sound Healing & Yoga Nidra. I am also a Master Reiki practitioner.
For me yoga is about coming home to yourself, it gives you the time and space to really get to know your body and your mind. Time to move your body, be with your breath and find the stillness in your mind.
What is really important to me is that yoga is accessible to everyone and its about making the practice fit your body and not the other way around. It's not really how the pose looks but more how it feels in your body and everyones version of a pose is going to look slightly different to feel good in their own skin.
I combine breathwork, meditation and movement to provide an all round work out for your body and your spirit and I hope that you leave my classes feeling grounded, relaxed and empowered.
Description
This is a similar class to the dynamic vinyasa flow but with a longer warm up to allow the body to get ready to move. Strength, stretching and breathwork all combine to work out and relax your body and your mind.
This class is held at the Thomas Cranmer Centre, Aslockton, Nottinghamshire. Ample parking is available on site.
What to bring?
You will need to bring a mat, a blanket and some water. I provide blocks and straps as required. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in, and layers are always good!

Description
This class is a 90 minute treat for your body and your mind. Yin is a type of yoga where mainly floor based poses are held for between 3-5 minutes. This extended hold gives you time and space to explore not only the pose but also your state of mind. We generally start with some breathwork to prepare the mind and also a short meditation. The class closes with a 30 minute Yoga nidra session. Yoga nidra is a rejuvenating relaxation that takes you to a liminal space between waking and sleeping, it gives space for deep rest for your body and mind and is sometimes described as yogic sleep. It is incredibly healing for the body as the same brainwaves are accessed here as in deep or REM sleep.
What to bring?
You will need to bring a mat, a blanket (or two), a cushion and some water. I provide blocks and straps as required. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in, and layers are always good! The final section of the class is lying in savasana for around 30 minutes so bring warm clothes and socks.
