The breath is our Prana, enhancing our awareness and energy to the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is the yolk of life, a spiritual connection in motion. Each week we bring in a new experience centered around these traditions and carefully crafted to enhance your current or newly developing practice. No prior meditation experience is necessary. Kundalini yoga is often referred to as the “Yoga of Awareness”. It is a blend of postures, conscious breathing, mantra, music and meditation. Class typically begins with an opening chant to “tune in,” followed by a warm-up focusing on the spine, then progresses into a series of postures called a “kriya” which are practiced with specific breathwork and often accompanied by mantra (chanting), culminating in a final relaxation or meditation phase, all aimed at activating the “Kundalini energy”. Classes can help to balance body and mind, enabling one to experience the clarity and beauty of soul.
