Each week we bring in a new experience centered around these traditions and carefully crafted to enhance your current or newly developing practice. No prior meditation experience is necessary. Kundalini yoga is often referred to as the “Yoga of Awareness”. It is a blend of postures, conscious breathing, mantra, music and meditation. Class typically begins with an opening chant to “tune in,” followed by a warm-up focusing on the spine, then progresses into a series of postures called a “kriya” which are practiced with specific breathwork and often accompanied by mantra (chanting), culminating in a final relaxation or meditation phase, all aimed at activating the “Kundalini energy”. Classes can help to balance body and mind, enabling one to experience the clarity and beauty of soul.

Learning to breathe is an art form. Allowing the breath to center and rebalance the body & mind is a practice. Meditation helps to focus our energy and enhance our lives. Practicing breath and meditation can help with a variety of intentions including relaxation, stress reduction, focusing, intention setting, directing energy and more.

Each session we learn how to use the breath in new ways to experience the life force within us and help to direct our energy through intentions. Different modes of meditation will be used through sound, mudras, mantra, and more. This class is designed for beginners and current practicing meditators.
