With a background in surfing, boxing, and Muay Thai, Maxine didn’t immediately fall in love with the slower pace of yoga. But after committing to a daily practice, something shifted. Description

Relax into this slow-paced inward-focused class of hip opener and heart opener poses. These sequences are designed to unravel holding patterns in the muscles around the pelvic girdle so the hips and spine can easily realign more optimally. Tightness across the upper chest and front of shoulders is released in the heart openers to allow the upper spine to integrate into the body and the heart to rise naturally. Deep breathing is encouraged throughout the class.
