Rachel Kennett
I am a student of life and like many of us, I have journeyed for many years to find my soul purpose. Of course there have been lows as well as highs and, on many occasions, I have simply lost the path altogether. Yet, here I am, intact and grateful to be able to share what I have learnt along the way.
I first fell in love with Yoga over 20 years ago in a beautiful place, the Integral Yoga Centre, Gibraltar. The grace and beauty of the teachings I received there have always remained in my heart despite many changes in my life. It is now my honour and privilege to be training as a Yoga teacher myself with the British Wheel of Yoga (500 hr diploma). I have spent over 15 years in education and now have swapped the classroom for the yoga mat.
I seek to combine gentle movement with breathing, relaxation and guided meditations to help grow the gifts we all have inside of us. I believe that true lasting healing comes from within. It is difficult to find inner peace in this hectic modern life we inhabit but I invite you to notice the sanctuary within yourself.
"Rachel teaches with a natural warmth and empathy. Her classes are beautifully designed which enables students of all abilities to practice safely. Rachel is patient and calm and her passion and knowledge of yoga shines through" Clare G, Esher, British Wheel of Yoga teacher trainer
"Rachel immediately makes you feel welcome, relaxed and at ease. She provides options, guidance and empowers you within your own practice. I feel in such a calm and safe pair of hands in her class." Rachel D, Epsom, Fellow Student.
Description
Yoga for well-being is aimed at making you feel rested and restored. The class involves slow, but strong and steady postures designed to assist with flexibility, strength and balance. There is also much emphasis on breathing, relaxation and meditation.
