My first yoga class in 2007 planted a seed in me that has blossomed into leading classes as a yoga instructor. I have always been drawn to the movement of the body and how we can use those movements to heal the body and make the body stronger. As I have gotten deeper into my own practice and through the WYC 200 hour YTT, I have started to appreciate and embrace the mind-body connection that yoga offers. We all have one body and one mind and in order to to live our best lives, I believe they need to work together. The practice of yoga can create inner harmony, so that we can get to know and focus on being our true selves- and that’s what I love most about it.
Description
Yin is a slower paced form of yoga with longer holds (90 seconds to 5+ minutes) that is designed to reach the body's connective tissue. It will begin with a gentle warm-up, to make sure the body is prepared for the holds. Yin reduces stress and is designed to help with both physical relaxation and mental clarity. This class is beginner friendly, but also great for experienced yogis!
