In a Yin yoga class, the postures (passive, sitting and lying) are held longer than in any other class. Because they are all postures in which the body can relax, you not only become more flexible, but you can also let go more easily. Many enthusiasts of yang (active) classes also like to go to a yin class to maintain balance. In this class you can learn to relax, open and soften deeply in connective tissue. Singing bowls and other sound effects are used in this lesson.
