Asana practice towards deep breathing and Pranayama
Beginning with grounding & energy work in the standing poses we’ll use the asana practice to open the body for examination & stabilise & refine our nervous system. We’ll continue with preparations for simple Pranayama & the careful practice of techniques to observe the flow of breath & prana.
Michael Forbes (Certified Int. Senior 2) began practicing Yoga as a teenager in 1972. Some years later he came across Iyengar Yoga & has stayed true to this system since. Teacher training in San Francisco 1984-85, first Pune visit 1986, since then dozens of study trips to Pune. Owner of the beautiful “iYoga” studio in Munich since 1991. Accredited Teacher Trainer, Assessor and Moderator in Germany.
Everyone with at least 1 year of regular Iyengar yoga practice is welcome. It’s an ONLINE class as an alternative for a workshop of two days. English spoken. Please read the information on our (English too!) webpage about our online classes see the link below.
