Stefanie Young
I teach a gentle, more intuitive style of Hatha Yoga than traditional Indian Hatha. This is known as Sama Yoga (https://www.samayoga.info/teacher/stefanie-young/), infused with elements of Qi Gong and Tai Chi as well as some more relaxing Yin postures. Mostly, I aim to feel the energy of the class, and respond to the needs of the yogis in the room.
Besides postures, I use breathwork (pranayama), mantra, yoga nidra and short meditations. Sama Yoga plays a big part, both in my language and the poses, and I have noticed, that the classes packed full of Sama Yoga elements, are those that make the biggest difference to the students.
I also teach Chair Yoga and Yin Yoga. I look forward to sharing yoga with you!

Description
Start your day with deep listening by connecting with your body. The intrinsic wisdom the body holds plays a key role in this class.
---
Embodied Hatha Flow combines philosophical theming rooted in the school of tantra and somatic freedom, with a functional understanding of biomechanics and anatomy.
---
Using meditation, asana, somatic movement and awareness of breath, this class will encourage you to explore your physicality in a way that grounds and enlivens, deepening the connection you have with yourself and the vast reality of life.
---
Everyone welcome.
---
What is Hatha Yoga?
Ideal for all levels of experience. With this type of yoga, you move your body slowly and deliberately into different poses that challenge your strength and flexibility, while at the same time focusing on relaxation and mindfulness, pondering on themes around consciousness and the experience of life. Good for beginners as it is a slower pace compared to a vinyasa flow.
