"Ashtanga ish with Orla" is a specialized 6-week yoga course taught by instructor Orla Mc Adam at Zenergy Yoga. The class is designed for practitioners who want to explore the structured discipline of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with a bit more flexibility and room for modification (hence the "ish").Class Details & OverviewInstructor: Orla Mc Adam.Schedule: Mondays at 7:30 PM (70-minute sessions running from 7:30 PM to 8:40 PM).Format: A progressive 6-week term where each week builds on the previous class.Suitability: It is physically challenging and not suitable for complete beginners. However, you do not need to be able to do every advanced posture to participate.What to Expect From the PracticeThe course systematically breaks down the classical Ashtanga Primary Series, making it approachable while maintaining its core physical benefits:The Foundation: You will practice Surya Namaskar A and B (Sun Salutations), standing postures, and the Warrior sequence.Progression: Over the weeks, Orla guides you through seated poses, final closing poses, and the trickier elements of the sequence.Stamina & Familiarity: Because Ashtanga repeats specific sections of movement, it is built to rapidly increase your physical stamina and get your body familiar with the flow.The Flow Finale: By the end of the 6-week term, you will have the opportunity to string the elements together in a continuous flow, trying out either the entire series or its main segments.
