New research has shown that yoga asanas (houdingen), particularly when combined with breathing techniques, and meditation can work therapeutically to improve resistance to stress, anxiety and depression.

This workshop will introduce specific breathing techniques, meditations and yin yoga postures that create space in the body and in the mind.

If you are someone who is looking for new ways to combat stress, anxiety, or get through hard times, this workshop will introduce new methods you can take home to practice yourself, or share with loved ones. Yin yoga is a form of yoga which allows for stretching of not only muscles, but of connective tissues (fascia) hoping for a more lasting flexibility. The meditations and breathing techniques used here are methods from somatic therapy and the tantra tradition. Yoga weights, bolsters, blocks and aromatherapy will be used in combination with yin postures to help ground and bring awareness into areas of the body that might be holding tension, emotion or otherwise feel "blocked".

Your registration is definite after we receive your payment. You can cancel till 7 days prior to the workshop. Cancelling within the 7 days prior to the workshop will not be possible, so check your agenda in advance. Please give your registration to someone else if you cannot attend the workshop.
