A Journey through the Chakras
with Kat Kelly and Ace Champion
Mondays 5:30-7:00 pm April 1 to May 13, 2024
Kat and Ace will take you on a journey of movement, sound and spirit over this 7-week program!
From the base of your spine to the top of your head, there are seven major chakras. The word chakra comes from the sanskrit work for wheel or disk.
Within the body lie seven vital energy centers or chakras. These chakras correspond to major nerve ganglia glands of the endocrine system and various bodily processes such as breathing, digestion circulation and reproduction.
The practice of yoga helps keep these centers of energy clear and flowing for optimal health. Adding rhythmic sound enhances the experience and helps you return to your center. Come and join us on this journey down the central channel of the body. Over the next seven weeks will be be exploring the different chakras and how they effect our bodies. See you all soon!
Working with the chakras is especially suited to the needs of busy people who want to stay calm, bright, and centered in a high-energy world.
This deep and profound practice is a sacred science, enhancing awareness, which focuses on physical exercises, breathing, meditation, mantra and relaxation.
This series is perfect for anyone looking to get a deeper understanding of his or her mind, body and spirit, and, therefore, lead a more happy, prosperous and fuller life.
Beginners and advanced students alike will find benefit from this practice.
Each class is a $16 drop-in fee or you may use your studio class pass to participate.

Description
Our Full Flow Yoga Takes its inspiration and core from the Ashtanga Yoga tradition (Pattabhis Jois, Founder). This style relies more on synchronized breathing with each movement to produce beautiful, flowing patterns of motion and energy. Full Flow techniques tend to be more vigorous than Slow Flow, and we generally recommend that students are capable of enduring a higher rate of physical activity in this class. White both Slow and Full Flow have a foundation in Sun Salutations, Full Flow is often considered the “most athletic style” of yoga. At first, the class might feel more like a workout, but eventually, not only will the body have slowed and calmed itself, but so will the breath, heart, and mind.
This full practice of yoga is appropriate for students who have prior experience in yoga asana (movement and poses).
