We will meet at Tide Mills car park (in between Newhaven and Seaford, you will receive exact directions upon booking) roughly 10 minutes before the start time and then wander over to the spot together.
As you arrive, you'll feel the gentle sea breeze on your face and hear the calming sound of waves crashing onto the shore.
We will stretch and breathe deeply, using yoga postures designed to energise the body and calm the mind. Waking up both the muscles and our senses to the beauty of nature around us.
The cool sea air filling our lungs, revitalising the body with fresh oxygen and helping us feel more alert and awake.
After the yoga class, you'll have the option to take a refreshing dip in the sea before heading off to work. Immerse yourself in the invigorating water, feeling the rush of cool water on your skin and the soothing power of the sea around you.
As you emerge from the sea, you'll feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to tackle the day ahead. Whether you're heading to the office, starting a new project, or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the world around you, this early morning yoga class on the beach is the perfect way to start your day.

The pace of the class is deliberately slow and gentle, allowing you to move with ease and to focus on your breath and body sensations. We stay close to the ground, with none or few standing poses. All poses can be changed and adapted if you, for example, need to stay off your hands or your knees.
By slowing down we get a chance to really feel what is going on and focus on alignment which allows for a safer and more comfortable practice. It helps improve our body awareness which has benefits extending far into our normal life off the yoga mat as well.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a dynamic and physically more challenging style of yoga that emphasises on fluid movement and breath control. In a typical Vinyasa Flow class, we will move through a sequence of movements in a continuous, flowing way, synchronised to the breath.
The word "vinyasa" comes from the Sanskrit term nyasa, meaning "to place," and the prefix vi, meaning "in a special way." Vinyasa Flows then emphasises on the connection between breath and movement, with each inhale or exhale initiating a particular movement or sequence of movements, to place the body in a specific way with each breath.
Each class will be different and the focus can lie on different body parts, such as hips or shoulders, or a particular movement, like circles or backbends. The focus can also be to keep a mindset of fluidity or stability. But in each class we will move through a variety of poses, including sun salutations, standing and balancing poses aiming to get the whole body involved and energised.
Moving faster and having to work a little bit harder with the body can both be really fun and a great way to calm the mind down. Vinyasa yoga can offer a great respite or act as a balancing tonic if we are living a life where there is a lot of focus on thinking and less on physical movement.

Join this course designed for complete beginners to yoga. We will meet once a week for 6 weeks and practice yoga. Each week we will go through new movements and postures in a pace adapted to you who are taking the class.
The teacher, Ylva, specialises in anatomy, healthy movement and how that affects our bodies. This course is therefore focused on creating an understanding of the how, the executions of different positions and movements, but also the why, the reason we do these poses, when to do which ones and what they can help us with.
This means that after the course has finished you will not just have a better posture, calmer mind and more body awareness, you will also understand what yoga is, how and when to use it to get the most out of it.
You might have planned holidays, as well as life's usual unpredictability which might mean you miss a class or two. For this, recorded online classes can be provided.

Welcome to a magical midsummer yoga retreat, where nature, the sun, and your inner self align for a day of tranquility and connection. Spend the day outside, amidst the breathtaking rolling hills of the South Downs, this one-day retreat invites you to immerse yourself in gentle, fluid, and nourishing yoga practices that harmonise with the natural cycles of the earth. We will make our flower crowns, go for a gentle nature walk, breathe and be present, rest in restorative yoga and finish off with a cup of tea around the fire.
As the day unfolds, we embrace the enchanting atmosphere of midsummer, embracing a mix of Swedish and Celtic myths and traditions that have held significance for centuries.
We start the day with energising and centring breath work, intention setting, and a yoga class focusing on expansion, setting the tone for the day's magical experience.
After that we will share a delicious vegan and gluten-free lunch made by local Pure Brunch Box. Following the meal, we will go on a gentle nature walk around the racecourse, being immersed in the abundance of flowers, growth, and the radiant sun above. You can make the walk as long or short as you want to. Together, we collect flora, cherishing the gifts of nature and cultivating a deep appreciation for the world around us.
Then comes the very highlight, Claire, who doesn't just let us share her land with her but is also an amazing florist (she made my wedding bouquet), will guide us in making our very own flower crowns. The flower crown is one of the most important traditions in the Scandinavian midsummer, forging a connection we find within ourselves and the natural world.
Throughout the day, moments of stillness and introspection are interwoven with the gentle rhythm of the retreat. There will be optional journaling activities, to allow your thoughts and reflections to flow freely, and mindfulness exercises that bring you into the present moment, enhancing your connection with nature and fostering inner peace.
We will finish with a restorative yoga session to nourish body and mind, and as the sun begins its descent from the highest point of the year, we gather in a closing circle around the fire, sipping on tea and savouring snacks.
This retreat is designed to be relaxed, inclusive, and joyful. No previous yoga experience is required, and the schedule encourages a flexible flow, allowing you to engage in activities at your own pace. Simply bring your own yoga mat, any desired props, and a blanket to enhance your comfort.

As the day unfolds, we embrace the enchanting atmosphere of midsummer, embracing a mix of Swedish and Celtic myths and traditions that have held significance for centuries.
We start the day with energising and centring breath work, intention setting, and a yoga class focusing on expansion, setting the tone for the day's magical experience.
After that we will share a delicious vegan and gluten-free lunch made by local Pure Brunch Box. Following the meal, we will go on a gentle nature walk around the racecourse, being immersed in the abundance of flowers, growth, and the radiant sun above. You can make the walk as long or short as you want to. Together, we collect flora, cherishing the gifts of nature and cultivating a deep appreciation for the world around us.
Then comes the very highlight, Claire, who doesn't just let us share her land with her but is also an amazing florist (she made my wedding bouquet), will guide us in making our very own flower crowns. The flower crown is one of the most important traditions in the Scandinavian midsummer, forging a connection we find within ourselves and the natural world.
Throughout the day, moments of stillness and introspection are interwoven with the gentle rhythm of the retreat. There will be optional journaling activities, to allow your thoughts and reflections to flow freely, and mindfulness exercises that bring you into the present moment, enhancing your connection with nature and fostering inner peace.
We will finish with a restorative yoga session to nourish body and mind, and as the sun begins its descent from the highest point of the year, we gather in a closing circle around the fire, sipping on tea and savouring snacks.
This retreat is designed to be relaxed, inclusive, and joyful. No previous yoga experience is required, and the schedule encourages a flexible flow, allowing you to engage in activities at your own pace. Simply bring your own yoga mat, any desired props, and a blanket to enhance your comfort.
Toilet facilities are available on-site for your convenience.
Beyond the physical mementos, such as the flower crown you create and take home, the true gift of this retreat lies within. Carry the calm and peaceful state you cultivate during this magical day within your heart, allowing it to radiate and influence your life long after the retreat ends.

Welcome to a fabulous morning. Starting our morning yoga class on Tide Mills beach, located on the beautiful south coast of England! As we begin our practice, the sound of the waves lapping against the shore and the refreshing sea air inspire us to connect with the natural beauty around us.
We have a spot of flat ground for the yoga just back from the pebbly beach, where we will be more comfortable and balanced.
Focus will lie on stretching out the large muscles and getting the circulation going in the body to prepare us for the following swim. The pace of the class will wary slightly depending on the weather. If it is cold and cloudy we will focus on warming up and energising a bit more, but with plenty of options to accommodate all levels and abilities.
We move through a series of stretches and poses, feeling our bodies awaken and our breath deepen. Our movements will be slow and intentional, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the present moment and find peace in our practice.
After our yoga practice, there is the option to take a dip in the sea, the cool, salty water washing away any remaining tension or stress. Feeling invigorated by the energy of the sea, it is impossible to not be present, noticing the body coming alive with sensations when being submerged in cold water.
Whether you choose to go in the sea or not we all gather for some hot tea and breakfast snacks, enjoying the company of our fellow yogis and the stunning scenery of Tide Mills beach.
These yoga classes on at Tide Mills beach is a wonderful way to connect with nature, rejuvenate your body and mind, and start your day with a sense of calm and gratitude.
