We’ll start with a soft breathing practice, or calming meditation to balance the nervous system. Comfortable Hatha stretches will help to build stability, while easy flows will warm the body and release muscular tension. Therapeutic and yin postures will help to cultivate ease and balance in the body and mind, so that you’ll find it easy to fall into a deep state of relaxation in our final luxurious posture. Suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike.

Floor based poses held for longer to enhance soothing of the mind, softening of the breath and balancing of the subtle energy. . A very calming class which makes it an ideal practice for later in the day.

You will practice breath awareness and pranayama (breath control practices). Some quiet contemplation is an important element of a yoga class.
Suitable for all levels. Beginners to anyone seeking to revisit the fundamentals.

Join Jo Fellows for a mindful Yin Yoga practice. The more you let go, the more you’re supported.
In Yin yoga we target the deep connective tissues of the body – the ligaments, joints, bones, and deep fascia networks. A Yin class consists of a series of passive floor poses held for up to 5 minutes or more, that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues, so the practice is especially beneficial for creating suppleness in the body. Class ends in a body scanning relaxation (yoga nidra).
Benefits of a regular Yin yoga practice are:
Calms and balances the mind and body.
