Thirty years ago, as a mother to three young children, I went in search of some space to call my own and found it - on the mat.
Time passes, the children are now adults and life continues to present its inevitable assortment of joy, drama, and challenge.
Through it all, yoga has been a constant: a sweet, steady thread of intention, balance, and breath that acts as counterpoint and inspiration to my family life and to my life as a writer.
Even after training in India (Himalaya Yoga Valley) and here, in Cheltenham (200 hours Yoga Alliance 2018), I am still a student, still discovering the million-and-one ways that yoga softens, stretches, and lengthens, brings flexibility to our bodies, and focus to our minds.
I am so grateful to Mary for inviting me to share my practise of mindful breath and strengthening steady movement at 6 Ways.
