Description
Restorative yoga is a gentle, slow-paced practice focused on deep relaxation. Poses are typically held for 5–15 minutes, fully supported by props like bolsters, blankets, blocks, and straps.
✨ Purpose:
Activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest)
Reduce stress, anxiety, and muscle tension
Improve sleep and emotional balance
Aid in recovery from injury or burnout
🛠 Common Props Used:
Bolster: For support under the spine, knees, or legs
Blankets: For warmth, cushioning, or support
Blocks: To raise the floor or support limbs
Straps: To gently hold limbs in place without effort
Eye pillow: For total relaxation during savasana
