Dit is een XL SPECIAL die een complete ontsnapping biedt aan de drukte van het dagelijks leven en fungeert als een reset voor lichaam en geest. We beginnen met Restorative Yoga en eindigen met Yoga Nidra.

Restorative Yoga betekent letterlijk ‘herstellende’ of ‘vernieuwende’ yoga. Deze vorm van yoga stimuleert het zelfherstellend vermogen van je lichaam en kan essentieel zijn na een periode van fysieke of mentale overbelasting. Je lichaam is tot veel meer in staat dan je denkt, maar het heeft rust en de juiste oefening nodig om optimaal te kunnen herstellen.

Yoga Nidra, wat letterlijk ‘slaap van de yogi’s’ betekent, is een diepe ontspanningstechniek die zowel lichaam als geest voorbereidt op diepere bewustzijnsniveaus. Hoewel Yoga Nidra vaak op zichzelf wordt beoefend als dagelijkse ontspanning, wordt regelmatig gebruik als vervanging van normale slaap niet aanbevolen. Het lichaam en de geest hebben nog steeds voldoende natuurlijke rust nodig. Toch beweren liefhebbers dat een half uur Yoga Nidra gelijk kan staan aan drie uur slaap.

This is an XL SPECIAL that offers a complete escape from the busyness of daily life and serves as a reset for both body and mind. We begin with Restorative Yoga and conclude with Yoga Nidra.

Restorative Yoga literally means “restorative” or “renewing” yoga. This form of yoga activates your body’s self-healing ability and can be essential after a period of physical or mental overload. Your body is capable of much more than you think, but it needs rest and the right practice to fully recover.

Yoga Nidra, which literally means “sleep of the yogis,” is a deep relaxation technique that prepares both body and mind for deeper states of consciousness. While Yoga Nidra is often practiced on its own as a daily relaxation method, it is not recommended as a regular substitute for natural sleep. The body and mind still require sufficient natural rest. However, enthusiasts claim that half an hour of Yoga Nidra can be equivalent to three hours of regular sleep.

During this XL SPECIAL, we also incorporate Reiki and touch, should you wish to experience it.
