Yoga is the perfect compensation for surfing. Not only can we strengthen the body, work on our balance and mobility and improve our focus 🏄‍♀️
Lots of Yoga postures are similar to surfing. As we practice them on the mat in a conscious and safe environment we build muscle memory.
While surfing we need to react fast and adapt to nature. If we practice yoga, the muscles and mind are prepared for these movements and we performed better and prevent injuries.


Doing Yoga is one of the best compensation to surfing. We’re not only working on strength, mobility, balance and focus. But many yoga postures already look like surf postures. As we practice on the mat in a conscious way, the muscles and groint learn the movement in a safe way and remember it. Muscle memory helps us while we need to move fast and adapt to outer circumstances while surfing.
