Somatic Yoga is a bit of a "buzz" word right now! Google says: "Somatic yoga is a form of yoga that emphasizes the body's internal sensations and movements." Sounds like the yoga we practice every day right!? It's trending - and it its popular because of it's benefits for the nervous system, stress reduction, and emotional release. So this class is all about the internal sensations, there are moments to pause and notice...we do a gentle, somatic pilates mat sequence to wake up the core. A calming class for mind and body with a focus on the core.
Chair adaptations are talked about for the poses where you are lying on your abdomen (use them if needed).
