About ALTAR
We're Andra & Andrei. Having discovered yoga in London, we moved back home in Bucharest in 2022 and founded ALTAR. In just one year, yogis stepped through our doorstep almost 4000 times, and ALTAR quickly became the most progressive and modern yoga studio in Bucharest, the only one teaching Jivamukti Yoga and other practices at high international standards - all while keeping strong foundations in authorised ancient yoga texts. Having an impact in people's lives beyond yoga asana (postures) is what keeps us going.
Together, we have trained thousands of hours with leading yoga institutions, from London to New York, Madrid to Bali, North India to South India.
We never want to stop learning. We travel to India and around the world every year for our personal practice, and every year we discover that we don't know nearly anything! But we're excited to share with you everything we learn from our dear teachers, daily practice, and our personal realisations.
