Yoga found Paula when a dear friend invited her to attend a community class in April of 2021 and she fell in love with changes she saw in herself, both inside and out. When given the opportunity to be a part of the first ever 200-hour yoga teacher training available in Harlingen through Yoga Alliance and at Aum Yoga Studio, she jumped at the chance. She is a firm believer in the power that positivity can bring in a group fitness setting, and she wants to share this with anyone who attends her classes.
Paula was born and raised in Northern Maine and moved to South Texas in 1991. She has three children and has had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom to them with the support of her beloved husband.

Mary began her yoga journey back in the 70’s when she discovered “Lilas, Yoga & You” on public broadcasting television. The postures were her main focus back then and for most of her years. With wisdom that comes to you as you age, she found that yoga is much deeper. It is a philosophy which she tapped into and wants to share with others.
Description
A gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and or with the aid of a chair. Great for beginners or those with limited physical mobilities.

This class is perfect for anybody, especially people with elevated stress levels or anyone that would like an hour to just be. No yoga experience necessary and everyone will be able to get into the poses that will be held long enough to calm your mind and relax your body. The hardest thing in this class will be letting go of the “to do list” in your head. This class will be very prop intensive.
If you have a bolster, please bring it. Also, blocks, straps, mat and blanket. There must be 2 students for this class to make.
