Your body learns to work as an integrated whole, building functional strength you can actually use in your daily life. This progressive approach ensures consistent improvement while maintaining safety and preventing injury. This dual-action is particularly important in helping to prevent both muscle loss and bone density decline.

Each student is given personal attention with adaptations and adjustments according to individual needs for a safe practice. This class is intended is to help you feel stronger, more energetic, hopeful, and relaxed.

To honor the season of spring; a time of renewal and growth. This class combines specific stretches and poses designed to warm up your muscles before gardening and relieve tension in the back, hips, shoulders, and wrists afterwards. We will be reviewing and practicing safe gardening tips for protecting your back as well as your joints. A short meditation and seed exchange will also take place after class.

Yin and yang yoga is a practice that combines the slow, passive, and deep-stretching nature of Yin yoga with the active, dynamic, and warming qualities of Yang yoga. It seeks to create physical and energetic balance by first building heat and strength in the yang portion, and then moving into long-held, still yin poses to work on connective tissues and promote relaxation. This approach addresses both the active muscles (yang) and the passive connective tissues like ligaments and fascia (yin) for a well-rounded practice that can be both invigorating and calming.
