I discovered yoga in 2018, finding in the practice a refuge during times of trauma and difficulty. What began as a personal space for healing evolved into a deep passion for sharing this discipline with others. Inspired by my experience and those around me, I decided to further my studies in yoga, earning my 200-hour certification.
As a teacher, I honor the tradition of yoga, respecting the culture from which this ancient practice originates. I am guided by its teachings to offer classes that integrate mindful movement, breathwork, and alignment, creating an accessible and enriching space for all levels. I specialize in Hatha Vinyasa, blending fluid sequences with moments of stillness to cultivate presence, strength, and balance.
To me, yoga is more than a physical practice—it is a path of transformation, self-discovery, and connection to something greater than ourselves. With gratitude, I embrace the opportunity to guide others on this journey, creating a space where each person can explore, grow, and find well-being.

Description
Step into the discipline of classical Hatha Yoga with a consistent practice designed to ground, strengthen, and center. Each session follows a steady sequence of foundational asanas (postures), pranayama (breath control), and dhyāna (meditation), creating a rhythm that allows body and mind to deepen over time. While the structure remains constant, each week introduces a different peak posture, offering new challenges and insights within the familiar flow. This approach reflects the spirit of sādhana—a dedicated practice that cultivates steadiness, awareness, and inner balance. Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners seeking a traditional path.

Description
This gentle style of yoga aims to promote deep relaxation and rest, using props like blocks, bolsters and blankets for support and remain comfortable in poses for a longer period of time. Rather than focusing on continuous movements, classes will feature a series of poses that allow mindfulness, meditation, pranayama (conscious breath) and rest. Restorative yoga can reduce anxiety and stress, help with pain management, emotional release, better sleep quality and overall relaxation.
Restorative yoga is perfect for seasoned yogis to beginners, menses, injury and chronic pain-friendly.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: please notify the teacher if you suffer from any pain/illness/injury to ensure proper attention and suitable poses during class. Your participation in class is at your own risk and the teacher is not responsible for emergencies/injuries/accidents before, during or after class.*

Hi! I’m Arleen; growing up in Rincón my life and lifestyle has always been coastal. I love swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding. I’ve practiced yoga at home for a little over ten years. I found my new wellness path at Centro La Paz after enrolling in my first Pilates reformer class with Vivienne Miranda. Since then, it’s been part of my wellbeing journey. After a few classes, I joined a Pilates Mat practice with Sara Robles who encouraged me to train as an instructor. In 2023 I completed several Balanced Body courses with second generation Pilates trainer the “Pilates Whisperer” Patricia Welters; a great inspirational teacher and coach. These courses included Pilates Mat 1, Mat 2, and Mat 3, as well as Movement Principles.
At La Paz Studio you can experience my Mat class with a focus on Classical Pilates. We will use breathing, balance, control and alignment techniques to engage your body through mindful movements that improves your strength, flexibility and resistance. The results will complement your surfing, paddle boarding, swimming or any Rincón visit experience.

I am a Doula and RYT-500 Sampoorna Yoga, Yoga Nidra teacher. My journey with yoga began in 2008, it sparked my curiosity, but I didn’t take it seriously until I began experience the profound benefits of yoga practice. In 2022 I deepened my practice by completing both the 200-hour and 300-hour Sampoorna Yoga Teacher Training certification programs at Yogi Hari Ashram. Under the guidance of Guruji Shri Yogi Hari, I was given the spiritual name Shanthi. That was an incredible experience with results of positive changes in my body and mind. During this time, I also encountered Yoga Nidra class for the first time. It was magical and inspired me to become a certified Yoga Nidra teacher. I am gratified to share this practice with others, who are seeking for self-awareness, healing, mindful and healthy lifestyle or simply open to experience benefits of Yoga Nidra.

In my teenage years, meditation became a refuge, offering a sense of calm and clarity amidst the complexities of growing up. Discovering its power planted the seeds of a lifelong passion for well-being. This passion eventually led me to an over 10-year career as a personal trainer, where I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of movement on both the physical and mental levels.
However, it was a life-changing experience studying yoga in India that ignited my dedication to Kundalini Yoga. This powerful practice, with its dynamic combination of movement, breathwork, and meditation, resonated deeply with me. But my exploration didn't stop there. I delved into the ancient art of sound healing, learning how sound vibrations can influence our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Today, as a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, I weave these two powerful modalities together in my classes. Through dynamic kriyas (yoga sets), energizing chants, deep meditations, and the integration of sound healing instruments, I create a unique and immersive experience for my students to explore their physical and spiritual potential.

Perfect for easing tightness from sitting, reducing lower back discomfort, and calming your mind before bed. Come as you are—all bodies and experience levels welcome.

Description

That transformation led me to go deeper, and I completed my 200-hour certification in Hatha and Vinyasa. My guru, Swamini Ma Shaktiananda, gave me the spiritual name Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, and that philosophy is at the heart of every class I teach: yoga as a path to clear what holds us back and open ourselves to our greatest potential.
I teach at Centro La Paz in Rincón, Puerto Rico, with a focus on mindful movement, breath, and presence, regardless of your level or starting point.

Description
A practice for those who want to move better, feel stronger, and go further.
This class blends the foundations of Hatha with the dynamic flow of Vinyasa, designed for anyone looking to take their yoga practice beyond stretching, whether you're an athlete, an active professional, or simply someone ready to reconnect with their body.
Each session focuses on proprioception and neuromuscular balance, tools that are just as valuable in everyday life as they are in sport. The emphasis shifts from class to class: some sessions prioritize hip opening and mobility, others build functional strength, and others go deep into stretching. The variety is intentional.
Mentally, the work is about overcoming obstacles, building inner resilience, and developing the ability to stay present, on the mat and beyond.
Every class includes pranayama (breathwork), and always closes with Savasana, guided meditation, and chanting, honoring the traditional roots of yoga.
Every body deserves care. This is that class.
