About iRest

iRest has been developed over 40 years by Dr. Richard Miller and associates, drawing on the ancient tradition of Yoga Nidra (‘sleep yoga’) – Yoga Nidra is the meditative heart of yoga and iRest has adapted the teachings to the conditions of modern life. Research has demonstrated iRest, as educational technique, can effectively alleviate anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, depression, PTS and chemical dependency. iRest Institute trained teachers have successfully delivered the iRest Program to active duty military and combat veterans, chronic pain sufferers, the homeless, the incarcerated, survivors of human trafficking, healthcare providers, and other special interest groups.
