Michele Anderson
Michele Anderson (RYT-200 Family Yoga/RYT-200 LYT Yoga) is the owner of Elevate & Play Yoga. Her goal in establishing the studio is to bring the community together in a safe, welcoming space. Michele believes that yoga is for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and can be used as a wellness tool when navigating the stressful world we live in. She also believes that yoga should be playful, and helps us reconnect to our childlike joy of movement. We don’t find yoga, yoga finds us.
Michele specializes in children’s yoga and holds a Masters Degree in Special Education and a Bachelors degree in Psychology/Special Education. She is also a Reiki Master, offering energy healing sessions and training in this ancient Japanese healing technique.
When she’s not in the studio, Michele can be found taking long walks around Red Hook with her dog, Buddy Boy, or spending time with her family.
