Whitney Artell
Whitney is a certified Yin yoga teacher, Reiki Master, folk herbalist, and sound healer. Her teaching is an intuitive blend of these healing modalities. Yin postures provide the structure to gently guide students back into a feeling of connection and presence as she weaves in sound and reiki energy healing. Whitney began focusing on energy and subtle body work after experiencing her own energetic healing from sciatica, relationship trauma, and burnout from years of hustling as a designer in NYC. Whitney completed her 200 hr YTT in India under the mentorship of Amanda Capobianco, her herbalism certification as an apprentice under Sage Maurer of the Gaia School of Healing and Earth Medicine, Yin training under Stacey Bell, her Reiki Masters from Lisa Levine of Maha Rose, and her sound healing certification from Amber Bonham of Shefayoga Venice.

Description

In this gentle yet profound practice, we slow down and hold postures for longer periods, inviting the body to release deeply held tension and find stillness. Yin Yoga focuses on the connective tissues—like ligaments, joints, and fascia—inviting a deep sense of openness and healing.

Designed with a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach, this class creates a safe space where you can connect to your body without judgment or expectation. It’s perfect for those seeking relaxation, emotional release, and a moment of peace within their day. We will work mindfully to release physical and mental blockages, bringing balance, calm, and a sense of grounded presence.

All levels are welcome—whether you're new to yoga or have a long-time practice, this class offers a supportive and nurturing environment for deep rest and rejuvenation.

*This class offers hands-on adjustments, consent cards are used to share your preference, which you can change at any time during class*
