We work on conditioning from the inside out (pelvic floor, thighs, abdominals, and buttocks). You will gain muscle control with breath, flexibility, and body awareness. The aim is for overall body leaning and toning. This is an all around, all level class.

In Flow Yoga, we practise being calm from the inside out through the use of breath, flow, heat and movement.

We work on improving strength, balance and flexibility.  The class incorporates Asana (yoga postures), Pranayama (practice of controlling the breath), meditation and relaxation.

Although it is a derivative of Vinyin Yoga, Flow Yoga is more fast-paced and the asanas (yoga postures) are synchronized with the breathing. It is more like an energetic dance that is focused on the power of inhaling, exhaling and synchronized breathing. Since it is done in quick succession without breaks and the sequence changes from class to class (typically we focus on working a specific part of the body or target a specific goal in each class), it is perfect for students – both beginners and advanced.

Barre class is designed to lift the heart rate, burn calories and give your body results. In a typical Barre class we lift, burn, tone and lean the muscles. Barre is a wonderful combination of Yoga, Ballet, Pilates. This class is for all who want to work it!

Restorative Yoga seeks to restore the body, mind and soul. Props (like blankets and blocks) are used to support the body so that students can hold poses for longer, and to open up their bodies using passive stretching.

Classes are usually very relaxing which makes it a good complimentary class to other active classes. It is particularly great for students that are dealing with anxiety, depression, injury or illness. It is a great class for anyone who has never done yoga before.

In this third class in the series Lucy welcomes the Goddess of abundance and good fortune Lakshmi into our hearts and our lives. Lakshmi’s shakti is that of abundance in all areas of life; she is ecological sustainability and the beauty of nature; she is household wealth, good food and great company; and she is the energy behind skilfully executed diplomacy and mediation and the graceful wielding of authority.

Even though Lakshmi can and does provide for material wealth and abundance, perhaps her greatest gift is bestowing a personal inner sense of beauty and abundance. The ability to experience contentment, joy and gratitude for what we have and the generosity to share that with others.
