This is a flexibility-based yoga class which focuses on improving range of motion, enhancing flexibility, and promoting overall well-being. This yoga class incorporates gentle and modified poses, including chair options, to accommodate the needs and abilities of older adults. It aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for participants to explore their bodies and improve their flexibility. It also includes QiGong movement.

Class benefits:
1. Increased Flexibility: Regular participation in a flexibility-based yoga class can help improve joint mobility and increase overall flexibility. This can enhance daily activities such as bending, reaching, and twisting, promoting independence and reducing the risk of injuries.

2. Improved Balance and Stability: Yoga poses that focus on balance and stability can help older adults improve their proprioception and reduce the risk of falls. Strengthening the core muscles and improving balance can enhance stability and confidence in performing daily tasks.

3. Stress Reduction: Yoga incorporates breathing techniques and mindfulness practices that can help reduce stress and promote relaxation. This can be particularly beneficial for older adults who may experience increased stress levels due to various life changes or health concerns.

4. Enhanced Body Awareness: Flexibility-based yoga classes encourage participants to connect with their bodies, promoting body awareness and mindfulness. This increased awareness can help individuals identify and address areas of tension or discomfort, leading to improved overall well-being.

5. Social Engagement: Participating in a yoga class provides an opportunity for social interaction and connection with like-minded individuals. This can help combat feelings of isolation and promote a sense of community among older adults.

The class is open to starters, beginners, intermediates and all ages and stages. And also returners!
