Unlike more dynamic yoga styles, Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice where postures are held for extended periods – typically 3 to 5 minutes, sometimes longer. The focus isn't on muscular engagement, but rather on gently stressing the body's deeper connective tissues: the ligaments, joints, fascia, and bones.
