Description

As a Yoga Teacher and Labour & Delivery Nurse, teaching Prenatal Yoga brings together my passions and knowledge of the birthing experience and Yoga practice. Classes are offered in a private home studio: a peaceful, supportive environment where expectant mothers can practice Yoga to ease some of the discomforts of pregnancy, gain strength for the journey ahead and, most importantly, learn to use the breath to gain focus and relaxation. This is also an opportunity to connect with other women and explore questions about labour, birth and motherhood. Classes are small, light hearted and informative - Yoga experience is not necessary.

Please note: once booked, you will receive a purchase confirmation email prompting you to complete the Interac e-transfer to secure your spot. Payment must be received within 12 hours to avoid the booking being cancelled.

Please note:
Since the studio re-opened, we have been wearing masks in our prenatal yoga classes, both entering and leaving the studio as well as throughout the practice. Even though on March 1st the government further eased masking requirements, the risk of contracting COVID still exists.
We have decided that, for now, we will continue to ask you to mask when attending our prenatal yoga classes. Reducing the risk, even in a small way, is especially significant for those prenatal yogis who are nearing the end of their pregnancy as testing COVID positive, even if only mild symptoms develop, would have a significant impact on their birth experience. As a nurse, it has been heartbreaking to witness how COVID positive patients were affected by the policies that are still in place at the hospital - including having to be on “isolation” and not being able to leave their room, their partners not able to attend the birth if they themselves were symptomatic or parents not being allowed in the NICU to be with their newborn baby.
I know that two years in, we are all SO ready to be done with this and practising yoga with a mask is not ideal. But we want to do what we can to help keep all our expectant mamas safe at such a precarious time.
Thank you for understanding and I hope to see all your beautiful (half) faces on the mat soon!
