Tyler Downing
Tyler is a 500 hour certified multi style yoga and mindfulness teacher who helps people build a calmer, more honest relationship with their body and nervous system. He teaches a range of practices, from slower hatha based classes, yin, restorative and therapeutic style yoga to mindful vinyasa flow, along with meditation and breathwork. His approach is grounded and straightforward, using clear language and simple, functional movement so sessions feel accessible rather than overwhelming. Drawing from his own practice, years working in the trades and a background in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Tyler focuses on practical strength, mobility and stability that support real life, including walking, working, aging and recovering from stress. He has been teaching yin, restorative, therapeutic style and vinyasa classes for several years and has experience with beginners, people dealing with high stress or burnout, older adults and clients with limited mobility, always offering variations so each person can move in a way that feels safe and doable. Tyler’s intention is not to push people to their edge, but to help them reconnect with their body in a way that feels respectful and grounding. People often leave his classes and sessions feeling a bit calmer, more present and more at home in themselves.
