I am passionate about pilates because it's a sport without competition and
pressure, but about physical and mental health, which directly affects our
immunity, which is most important for the time we now live in. I enjoy it when clients can relax and are happy while doing exercise.
I was born in South Africa and raised in Germany. I moved back to SA in the late 90s and worked for a while as a nursing sister in ICU before I started another career in the
fitness industry. Besides teaching aerobics and personal training, I was a part of a hip-hop dance group. I got introduced to pilates due to an injury in 2001, and decided
to study the art of pilates at Renee Watson Pilates Studio, with a good friend and mentor. I completed my teacher training in 2003. My husband, Chad, a Chiropractor and former professional triathlete, and two children, ages 14 and 16, moved to New Zealand to join family in April 2021.
I love the outdoors, animals, and especially horses, competing in long-distance riding.
Description
Build strength, stability, and ease through a dynamic full-body workout that balances core strength, posture, flexibility, and breath.
We’ll use props like balls, bands, circles, and foam rollers to keep things fun, effective, and engaging — no two classes are the same!
Suitable for all levels, this is a challenging yet light-hearted class designed to leave you feeling strong, supported, and smiling.

I'm passionate about movement and plant-powered nutrition, with a deep appreciation for nature and a commitment to sustainable living. My love extends to all beings—animals and humans alike!
I hold certification in Plant-Based Nutrition from the Dr. T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and am a certified instructor of the Bodylight®️ method, which beautifully fuses Pilates, yoga, qigong, and mindfulness. Currently, I'm completing my Polestar matwork Pilates teacher training and absolutely loving every moment of both practising and teaching.
I'm excited to connect with you, share knowledge and wisdom, and enjoy some great conversations along the way.
Description
Discover the profound power of slow, mindful movement. This gentle, intelligent practice is designed to transform the way you move. We fuse the signature strength of Pilates with the wisdom of some of the Feldenkrais repertoire to unlock your body's potential.
Through intentional slow pacing, focused breath, and precise alignment, we journey deep into the mind-body connection. You will build strength from the inside out, dramatically improve your posture, and create a level of mobility that unlocks more resilience and freedom in your movement.
This class welcomes absolute beginners and experienced movers alike who want to dedicate time to mastering their alignment and enjoying a deeply restorative yet effective workout.
As Joseph Pilates famously said: "If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old. If it is completely flexible at 60, you are young."

*Postural yoga with Sarah*
A class to explore your alignment, flexibility and strength in yoga poses. Using a range of supportive props such as a chair, bolster, strap, blocks and the wall, you’ll hold poses longer than in a typical flow class, giving you the chance to deepen your posture and connection to each position. This focussed approach is especially beneficial for mastering challenging poses such as backbends, inversions and twists. Variations offered to support all levels of practice - whether you are a beginner or a more experienced student, you’ll be nurtured in a supportive environment to find what works for you.

Simone Lawry
Meet Simone Lawry- she grew up in a rural small town in Auckland, exploring the forest with her animals. Eating the peaches from the neighbors trees. The eldest of 3 girls. Listening to the sounds of Sade, Madonna, Deep Purple, Simply Red, Fleetwood Mac & Margret Urlich.
Obsessed with dance, movement and music at the age of 4. Expressing herself through rhythmic gymnastics and ballet. Representing New Zealand at the Australian Championships. Winning the New Zealand Rhythmic Gymnastic Nations at the age of 12.
At the age of 19 she left for North Carolina, USA to work as a Camp Counsellor. Which then took her live in Sydney, experience London, Spain, Paris, Italy, Thailand, Bali, Peru, Bolivia, Ireland, Amsterdam, Dubai, Fiji, New Caledonia, LA, New York & Florida
Her career as a carer and creative artist always came back to matters of life, spirituality, movement, healing and wellbeing. It was always asking her to let it become ALIVE. So in 2016 she started her journey of becoming a yoga teacher. Studying with Baron Baptise, Ana Forrest and Meghan Currie. Being lit up by Denise Ferguson, Nicky Harris, Kirsty Van Dergeer & Cara Williams. The learnings of her own journey has enabled her to witness the effects on her mindset, soul-set and heart-set. Knowing that the skills and education she has absorbed and experienced on herself ‘work’ and have saved her in many ways. Rituals for a harmonious life.
In her own words she is adaptable, moody, fair, direct, honest, determined, creative and a rebel. Her highest of purpose is to be of service to all the beings.
Simone offers Vinyasa Embodied yoga, Yin Yoga, Reiki Energy Healing, Cacao Ceremony, Meditation & Pranayama

I first discovered yoga in my 20's, but it wasn't until my 30's and after the birth of my second child in 2016 that yoga truly became a life line. Navigating post natal depression and chronic back pain, not just for movement but for for healing.
With over 14 years of personal practice and a teacher training with John and Nicole Allen, I now offer classes that blend Hatha, Vinyasa and Breathwork - creating a dynamic and holistic experience. As a naturally compassionate and empathetic person and a good listener, I strive to create a space where students feel heard, supported and free to explore their own journey.
