Description
Kids’ yoga is an opportunity for young yogis to build their focus, strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and self-management. Using games, music, and activities—we will explore yoga poses, breathing techniques, mindfulness, mind-body connection, emotions and self-calming tools, and more… while still being playful and fun! There will be a small craft, activity, or reflective project included at the end of each session. Open to children of all abilities 8-12 years of age. No experience required. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle.
Bio: Jennifer Lu’Becke has been teaching yoga to children for eight years and has been working with youth for over 20 years. She is a registered Children's Yoga Teacher (Next Generation Yoga) with Yoga Alliance. She also studied with Yandara Yoga (RYT-200) and Yogafit (RYT-500).
Jennifer has specialized training in:
· Trauma Informed Yoga (for both youth and adults)
· Yoga for ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder
· Yoga for All (inclusive and accessible yoga)
· Yoga for Teens
· Yoga Therapy (in training)
Jennifer's goal is to empower children and to help them find balance and peace through yoga, movement, mindfulness, and breathe with inclusivity, joy, playfulness, and creativity.
