Join Erin Goldstein & Kaycie Metzelaars of Barefoot Freedom Yoga and Raven Dawn of Just Breathe Den. We're planning a special meetup of music, embodied movement, community, and a sound healing with gong and singing bowls!
What to Expect:
(timing subject to change or adaptation)
6-6:15pm: Gather for introductions, meditation & group focus. We will also review guidelines and expectations, & answer any group questions
6:15-7:45(ish): DANCE!
We’ll get to know the layout of the dance floor, stretch station, drums & props, and anything else you need to know. We’ll dim the lights for good vibes. While the music plays, you do you – meditate, stretch, shake, move energy, and free your spirit through dance and movement!
We'll have a mix of music, up and down-tempo, so you can dance straight through or take a break as needed.
In general, people dance solo. We ask for no talking or touching on the dance floor if possible. Our intention is to create a space where everyone feels safe to connect with their mind, body, and spirit, and dance out whatever they feel without judgment or interference.
Vocalizing, clapping or stomping or drumming along, or playing with props (scarves, fans, shaker eggs, etc) is welcome.
You may leave the dance floor to rest or hydrate at any point during the dance.
7:45~8:15 Savasana / Meditation / Sound Journey
We’ll signal the group to sit or lay down for deep rest, stillness & reflection at the end of the dance. Enjoy gong, singing bowls, and chimes as part of a sound journey offering to take you deeper into yourself.
8:15-9pm: Closing circle - grab a cup of tea and some snacks and we'll talk more and share our experience. This usually turns into a laid-back conversation, never fear.
Experience Guidelines:
Dress comfortably for freedom and ease of movement
“Dance as if no one is watching”
No judgment!
No conversation on the dance floor
We encourage barefoot dancing for a grounded experience – socks are OK, and shoes welcome if necessary of course!
No alcohol, phones, cameras, drugs, or distracting scents
Respect yourself, everyone, and the space
Love offerings of snacks, tea, etc for the group are welcomed.
This event is perfect for:
Anyone who loves to dance and celebrate life!
People looking for a safe and healthy way to release energy
Individuals seeking a deeper connection in mind, body, spirit, and community
Those interested in exploring the power of joyful movement
No experience necessary, just bring your open mind and comfortable clothing, and a water bottle.
Let’s move together and celebrate the magic of movement!
