Getting enough sleep and quality sleep is essential for good health and well-being. As life gets busier in a fast-paced environment, our senses are perpetually bombarded, which can overstimulate the nervous system and cause sleepless nights, stress, anxiety, excess weight, decreased memory, as well as other mental and physical factors.

A good night sleep is critical to regulate weight, strengthen the immune system, protect cardiovascular health, detox the body and brain, and to wake up rested for an even energy level during the day. Learn about environmental and lifestyle practices that may be interfering with sleep, and discover new routines to help bring those “zzz’s.” Through breathing exercises, gentle yoga postures, meditation, and other practices, we will discuss:

-How to fall asleep predictably and easily
-How to stay asleep and enjoy uninterrupted, restful sleep through the night
-How to wake rested, energized and ready for the day
-How to calm a busy mind so thinking doesn't keep you awake

Leave this workshop with resources for better sleep and ideas for a new sleep routine.

This workshop is open to all including complete yoga beginners and those who do not have a regular yoga practice.

This workshop counts as 1.5 hours toward Yoga Alliance continuing Education Credit for YA Registered Yoga Teachers.
