Description
In the energy of Imbolg we gather on Baginbun to move our bodies, breathe deeply and get out in nature to keep the spirit high and to raise money for Wexford Women's Refuge.
Imbolg is a cross quarter day marking the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Goddess Brigid is celebrated at this time. She is the Goddess of Fire, the bringer of the light. Her energy fuels our inspiration and creativity. Brighid is our matron Goddess of healing, poetry, arts and crafts, medicine and of Spring time. We all know of some of her stories and she performed many miracles. She is also strongly associated with fire and water and is regarded as a guardian of the home. Brighid is within us all, she is deep in our souls so in this class we stoke our inner fire by the ocean and see what magic comes up from within.
The class will be a mix of kundalini and hatha yoga. A warming, standing practice on the sand for all levels so come as you are in hats and coats, you can leave your shoes on too and after class some of us will take a dip in the Celtic Sea and wrap our hands around a hot cup of tea afterwards.
All donations on the day go directly to Wexford Women's Refuge
