This class is designed to support your body as it transforms throughout your pregnancy. During class we will create space for you to get to know your changing body through stretching, strengthening and mobility work. We will also provide an opportunity for both emotional and physical connection to your baby. This class will help you feel more comfortable during your pregnancy and prepare you for labor!

Why Nicole is offering this:

What I love most about teaching the prenatal movement class is the opportunity to help pregnant people understand their bodies better and to educate and empower them as they move through pregnancy and into birth.

Nicole is a physical therapist, a mother and a lover of movement. She believes that regular movement is the key to feeling good in one's body and that pregnant people should prepare for birth like they would prepare for any physical endeavor.

Nicole brings a wealth of expertise from her background as a physical therapist who specializes in sports medicine and women's health. Nicole's mission is to raise the standard of care for pregnant people and support people to feel educated and empowered during their birth.

Nicole is the owner of SolFuel Wellness, a physical therapy practice in South Seattle that specializes in pregnancy, postpartum and pelvic health. When not working Nicole loves spending as much time as possible outside with her family. You will see her running around Seward Park, skiing at Crystal Mountain, and camping and hiking in the surrounding mountains.

This is a restful, gentle, 60-minute practice where students hold poses for longer periods of time. The use of props like bolsters, blocks, straps, pillows, and blankets help support students to stay in place and relax. It emphasizes meditation and a deep, calming yoga practice.

THIS WEEK - ONLY ONLINE for Gentle class

A slower-paced yoga class with a healing orientation, these classes include a safe and gentle approach to strengthening the body.

This is a gentle, 60-minute yoga practice. Yoga poses can be done while seated in a chair, or while standing and using the chair as a prop. Students can do many of the same poses they might do on a mat including twists, stretches, forward bends and even some gentle back bends. We use a slow, meditative approach to our yoga practice.

IN-PERSON option for this hybrid class.

This is a gentle, slower-paced class that is appropriate for all levels of experience. This 75-minute, yoga class begins with meditation and breathing practices. The yoga asanas (poses) are combined with the healing sounds of the crystal bowls. There is an emphasis on creating a meditative state. As we move through the poses, we find a gentle way to calming our minds and strengthening our bodies.
