El ashtanga yoga es un tipo de yoga que se basa en los 8 pasos de los yoga sutras de Patanjali. Existen diferentes series en las que se hace una secuencia determinada de posturas, siguiendo un orden concreto, que comentaré más abajo: primary series, intermediate y advanced.
Estas secuencias son un tipo de vinyasa, es decir, una serie de movimientos que se acompasan con las inhalaciones y las exhalaciones. El objetivo final es que los movimientos fluyan al mismo ritmo que respiras.

Ashtanga yoga is a type of yoga that is based on the 8 steps of Patanjali's yoga sutras. There are different series in which a certain sequence of postures is done, following a specific order, which I will comment on below: primary series, intermediate and advanced.
These sequences are a type of vinyasa, that is, a series of movements that are in time with inhalations and exhalations. The ultimate goal is for the movements to flow at the same pace as you breathe.
