Micki Fagan
Micki (RYT 200) is engaged, the mom of three teens and is currently a Special Education Aide at S.S.I.S.D. After teaching in the childcare setting for over 15 years, she realized something needed to change about how we are addressing the behavior of kids nowadays. She started her own practice of meditation and inner child healing in January of 2020. And discovered that focusing inwardly is the first (and most important) step toward becoming a better teacher and parent. Introducing breath work, balance challenges, fun books and games to her students has improved their outlook in the classroom, on the mat, and out in the real world. “I want our children to feel a sense of community here, to be welcomed and heard.” Obtaining her 200 hour certification from One Soul Yoga in 2023 has been one of the most monumental achievements of her life, because making a difference in the youth of today is her ultimate goal!

Description

Unwind and ignite your spirit with Friday Rhythmic Fusion, an active and energizing class that blends rhythmic yoga flow, ecstatic dance elements, and playful movement—all set to uplifting and energetic beats. This dynamic practice invites you to move freely, explore your creativity, and let go of the week’s stress in a joyful and supportive environment.

Playful movement not only boosts your mood but also improves coordination, increases flexibility, and enhances body awareness. By weaving dance and flow together, this class helps to release tension, build strength, and reconnect with your inner vitality.

The session concludes with a soothing Savasana, giving you time to absorb the benefits of your practice, calm the nervous system, and leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready for the weekend. Dance, flow, and feel alive—Friday Rhythmic Fusion is the perfect way to end your week!

At One Soul, we believe yoga is for everybody and you do not have to be “bendy” or “stretchy” to practice. Our studio and instructors are from a trauma-informed lineage, which means we lead classes that nurture and challenge you in a safe and non-judgmental way. Variations of poses are given in each class to make our classes accessible regardless if you are new to yoga or more experienced. Our yoga studio is intentionally free of mirrors, encouraging you to focus on how your practice feels rather than how it appears. Your mat is your personal sanctuary, a space to connect with yourself and your journey.
