Libby is a 500-hour CYT and holds certification in Thai Yoga. Libby has been fascinated with yoga for as long as she can remember, enjoying 'Lilias, Yoga and You' when she was a teenager. Her practice always contained a desire to teach and share yoga and the wonderful benefits and enjoyment it brings. Life takes us along many detours, but a re-commitment to yoga led her to recently begin her yoga teacher training. While still discovering and exploring forms of yoga, she currently brings her own quirky, eclectic spin to Hatha Yoga. She also is a longtime practitioner of breathwork and enjoys leading groups in ecstatic dance. Libby is certified in Thai Yoga and offers private sessions at One Soul.

Description

Restorative Yoga is a form of active rest in which the mind, body, and spirit are given the time and space to renew, recharge, and restore. It is a practice unlike traditional yoga classes in that it centers on slowing down, centering, and opening through long-held passive stretching. We practice stillness and very gentle movement for extended periods of time throughout the practice, focusing on fully supported poses that are each held for 5-7 minutes. At the end of class, we will practice Yoga Nidra, a form of yogic sleep, in order to gain the most benefit.
