Description

The Ultimate Mid-week recharge and reset. Join me in this weekly session of relaxing yoga and sound healing.

Our yoga practice alternates each week between restorative yin yoga and yoga nidra (yogic sleep)

The restorative and yin is beneficial for deep tissue release, restorative poses promote relaxation and rest. Suitable for all abilities we will use props such as blankets cushions and blocks for comfort and support.

Yoga nidra, or "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation practice that induces a state of conscious, deep relaxation between waking and sleeping. Practiced lying in savasana, it uses systematic techniques to move the brain into theta waves, reducing stress, improving sleep, and promoting profound mental and physical.

Both practices aim to create a receptive relaxed body and mind ready to receive the benefits of the vibrations to come.

The second half of our practice will be a 30 minute sound bath helping to aid the body's healing and balance energy within. Sound healing is an ancient practice using instruments such as singing bowls, drums, chimes, bells, gongs etc It draws upon the principles of entrainment to bring the vibration within the body's energetic centres back to their ideal frequencies. This in turn promotes healing, serenity, and aids in alleviating stress, high blood pressure, and illness.

Bring your own mat and any props such as blocks, bolsters, blanket, cushion. I will have some to lend out too, so no problem if not. Warm warm comfortable clothing that is easy to move in.
