Holding space on your journey to find within yourself your roots to fly.
Description
The Autumnal Equinox (Mabon) offers us that pause of liminal space when there is equal dark and light. It offers you a time to reflect. Not to rest in judgment, but to celebrate the blessings and observe where you would like to make some shifts. It remind us to let go, like the trees are beginning to do with their leaves, of things that are no longer serving us to make space for new things. Traversing our way into the darkness, fall is the opportunity to set the stage for winter's integrative slumber. What are you ready to release? What are you ready to refocus your energy on to bring to fruition in the spring? Let's gather in community to celebrate, release, call in, and prepare ourselves for the coming integrative slumber. Let's weave webs of connections within ourselves and within each other.
Flow of the afternoon:
* Arrive and set up (from 12:45pm-1pm)
* Gather at the chime tree circle for the opening of the circle and centering. (1pm)
* Drumming and dancing! (From 1:15-2:15pm) Getting the rhythm into your body if you are called to it!
* While we are drumming feel free to head to the community table and use the paper available or a leaf to write down what you want to release and burn it in the fire.
* Paper and crayons available for leaf rubbings.
* Enjoy tea and cider, please bring your own mug if you remember.
* Close the drumming circle around around 2:30pm.
* Transition time to clean up the chime tree circle and head up to the barn to set up for a group sound bath compliments of Susan Sheldon 3-4pm.
Please bring
* your own chair or blanket to sit on in the chime tree circle.
* Dress comfortably and in layers pending the weather.
* Water for hydration.
* Drums, shakers, rattles (and extra to share if you are called to it)...
* Mug/travel mug to enjoy some tea or cider in.
* Mat/blankets/cushion/chair for the sound bowl meditation in the barn.
This event is donation based.
Registration is required though. For this event only one person in the group needs to register and you can register the rest of your friends/family when you register. Head to www.momoyoga.com/roots-to-fly-wellness to secure your spot.
All are welcome, children as well. Parents know what is best for their kids. We trust your intuition to know if this is the right space for them. You are always welcome to come to the drumming circle and scoot out afterwards if you don't think the sound bowl meditation will be for them.
