Heart Coherence Breath Work and Meditation Class
January 29, 2026 •
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
3 Route 171 Suite 5 Woodstock, CT (Entrance is in the back)
Jennifer Brouillard
Holding space on your journey to find within yourself your roots to fly.
Description
Heart coherence breathing involves breathing slowly and deeply, typically at a rate of about five to six breaths per minute, to promote relaxation and emotional balance. This deep breath work helps to connect the heart and brain and regulate the other systems of the body lifting you out of your sympathetic nervous system and back into rest and restore. Making the inhale and exhale longer than your natural breath (5-6 counts) and the same length helps synchronize your heart and breathing rhythms, which can reduce stress and improve overall well-being.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to set your self up, pay (if you choose to pay in class) and to get your tea ready to go. You can do this meditation laying down, inclined on a bolster or seated.
What to expect?
We will begin by centering and arriving to the moment with some guided suggestions. We will then journey with heart frequency music and guided heart coherence breath work which will flow right into a guided visualisation into the heart space with a savasana-like pause to attune and receive.
After the meditation we will enjoy tea and a brief circle to allow space for the energy to settle, journal or share.
Never meditated? Not sure what to do? No meditation experience needed. This will be 100% guided breath work and visualization. I will hold space for you the entire way.
PLEASE BE ADVISED:
This may not be appropriate for people with unregulated blood pressure concerns, pregnant women in their first trimester, or folks with heart conditions. Please consult your doctor if you have health concerns for contradictions for deep breath work. Also be advised that this intentional and deep breath work has been known to release emotional blocks which can trigger intense or overwhelming emotions. This is normal, but if you don't think you are in the right space to receive this activation, this might not be the appropriate class for you.
What to bring?
- Yoga mat (the cushier the better for this class)
- Extra cozy blanket
- Pillow
- Bolster
- Journal if you like to jot down thoughts and impressions from your journey inward.
- Covered to-go travel mug (to take your tea with you if you don't finish it before you leave)
All props and throw away travel mugs will be available at the studio too. So no worries if you don't have any suggested props, but definitely bring an extra blanket so you can make a cozy meditation nest.
Registration is required.
Class is $15 or use your yoga class card. Cash, check out Venmo is preferred. Credit card processing is available for your convenience, online only. 24 hour notice of cancellation is politely requested for this class (for planning purposes and so I can have the opportunity to share the opportunity with others), but 2 hour notice of cancellation is required for credit to your profile. Thank you for your understanding.
