Description
This is the perfect practice to begin your bedtime ritual for a restful and peaceful night's sleep. We will take a few moments to center ourselves into our bodies. We will then root into our breath with some focused breathwork and hand mudras and then move into some seated and kneeling postures to gently shift and release the tension of the day for 30 minutes. This will be slower and even more gentle than my slow flow. In Hatha Yoga we are not focused on linking our breath and movement together so these will focused and simple postures rooted in the physical body. This is the perfect practice for any beginner and completely accessible for anyone that has never done yoga before. All these gentle movements can be modified to do seated in a chair if you prefer. Please just let me know ahead of time so that I may have chairs available if you need them. Typically Yoga Nidra is done laying down on your mat though, so you can fully release any holding in the body and allow the mind to step into that space between wakefulness and sleeping. The gentle movement will help to lead us into a peaceful Yoga Nidra for 30 minutes. Yoga Nidra is a wonderful way to introduce yourself to meditation. My Yoga Nidra is fully guided with mindful, but brief pauses in the script. Here healing begins, the mind resets, your energy levels balance back out, your nervous system finds restoration, and your whole being finds harmony. From this calm place clarity, peace, and unity within oneself are realized and you remember that you are already whole and healed without having to replay any past trauma script in your mind's eye.
