Description

Come recalibrate yourself. We will start by recentering into ourselves and reconnecting into our roots for 5 minutes. We will then breath and stretch with some basic seated and laying stretches for 15 minutes. This isn't Yin or Restorative, just some basic body stretches to help shift and release some energy so you can fully relax into your Yoga Nidra meditation for the final 40 minutes of class. Yoga Nidra is a scripted and guided meditation.
The practice of yoga nidra is a practice of yogic sleep that will guide you to a state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleeping called Theta. This is where true nervous system healing begins. In a yoga nidra meditation you might feel like you’re floating,
have vivid imagery or dreamlike thoughts, or feel emotions surfacing. This is Theta. It is often linked to accessing the subconscious, which is why Yoga Nidra is powerful for shifting beliefs, planting intentions (sankalpa), and even creative inspiration.

You might not be “asleep,” but your brain is in a state of deep restoration, supporting nervous system repair, cellular healing and immune function.

Why Yoga Nidra Is So Effective for Rest and Reset?
✅ It slows your brain down systematically
✅ It activates your parasympathetic nervous system
✅ It provides the benefits of deep sleep—without needing to fall asleep
✅ It taps into subconscious reprogramming (via sankalpa)
Unlike traditional meditation that keeps you hovering in Beta or Alpha, Yoga Nidra leads you all the way down to the most restorative brain states—and back up again.

What to know:
Yoga Nidra is done laying down or propped with some bolsters so you can recline your body to be able to fully release without holding your body upright.

Please bring a blanket. A yoga mat is suggested, but you are welcome to borrow one at the studio as well. Bolsters will be provided if needed.
