Ashley Johnson
Hi I’m Ashley! I’m a Pittsburgh native turned St Pete local with a passion for empowering others. I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and in 2018, I felt called to expand my practice and go deeper within, as I was struggling privately through a deep wave of grief. My yoga training helped me heal in many ways and offered tools I didn’t know were inside of me. With overwhelming gratitude, it is a passion of mine and an honor to share this gift with others.
I teach private and group settings all around the Tampa Bay Area. When I’m not on my mat you can find me behind the chair in my salon suite. Whether I am empowering others through movement or assisting in enhancing outer beauty— it’s my mission to provide a safe space where everyone can show up exactly as they are.
Ashley teaches
An all levels class with creative vinyasa sequencing, incorporating postures from all the asana families. We’ll start out slow and create some heat as we build our flow. Expect focus on breath work, a mixture of balance, long holds, and strength.
Description
I am a Hatha Yoga Teacher.
In this class you'll complete 6 Sun Salutations, I love to play and add a lot of “sauce” to each one.
With this, I can make a class as intense and strengthening as I want (Power Flow).
Or as stretchy and relaxing as I want (Restorative).
No matter what class I am teaching, you can expect a lot of hip-openers and strengtheners because I believe hip mobility is extremely important.
No matter if we are sitting drinking some tea, or if we are at the climax of a Hot Yoga class, the most important thing is the Breath. I bring focus to the breath no matter what class I am teaching, and I will have classes that focus entirely on breathing, in hopes of helping our community live a fuller, more joyful life.
