Amy Matson
Born and raised in St. Pete, Amy has been a Registered Nurse for over 16 years. She found yoga as a way to cope with the physical and emotional demands of her nursing career. In 2018, Amy traveled to Portugal to earn her 200hr RYT in Ashtanga + Vinyasa. Inspired by this experience, she also received certifications in Trauma Informed Yoga, Breathwork and Yoga Nidra. Most recently, she received a Professional Studies Diploma from the 4-year program at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. Amy is passionate about incorporating the 8 limbs of yoga into daily life. She approaches her teaching through the lens of ancient knowledge and modern science. The path to enlightenment undoubtedly fosters nervous system resilience. And a resilient nervous system is the healing balm for the human condition. Regardless of your path, or reasons for exploring yoga, slowing down and turning inward is a beautiful way to flourish. Expect mindfulness and movement linked with breath. Amy is lighthearted and playful and enjoys empowering her student to find their own inner authority. If you can breathe, you can do yoga with Amy!
